The fastest growing homeless segment in our nation is women with young children. Women who find themselves homeless are in crisis. Their primary concern is finding food, shelter and clothing for themselves and their children.
Clare House is trying to break the cycle of poverty by offering life skills classes to residents. Women staying at Clare House learn budgeting skills & employment readiness. In the new Clare House building, the entire 2nd floor is dedicated to women who are transitioning out of homelessness and striving towards stability.
With the help of churches, service groups and donors Clare House provides approximately 180 meals a day and approximately 150 snacks a day.
During fiscal year 2016, 506 moms and kids stayed a total of 28,869 nights at Clare House.
For over 25 years you and your neighbors have stepped up to provide essential contributions in order to serve the women and children at Clare House. Please consider helping again today.
