    Homeless Family Services case managers are working with families and individuals at risk of losing housing due to loss of income or employment. CSS is providing support and resources so that they remain in permanent housing.

    Brother Francis Shelter is encouraging residents to stay hunkered down in the building during daytime hours and is screening residents.
  • 41 Mothers and children being housed at Clare House (2/5/21)
    Clare House is encouraging participants to hunker down inside the building and has provided needed technology to children doing schoolwork.
  • 326 Households who visited Saint Francis House Food Pantry this week (2/1/21-2/4/21)
    Saint Francis House Food Pantry has seen an increase in shoppers since the Hunker Down Order.
  • 13.6% Of shoppers were brand new to the pantry during the month of January.
    We are seeing an increase in new households seeking services from SFH due to loss of income or employment as a consequence of COVID-19.
  • Reflecting on community support and our work at CSS

    Some days, the sight of these precautions can bring on a sense of fear. We have never operated this way. Our halls are usually filled with laughter, high fives, and hugs. Right now, the office halls are quiet. The sight of doctors and nurses in full PPE at the shelters, clients and staff with face masks and gloves can surely cause concern.

  • Saint Francis House transitions to a Fast Track Pantry

    In response to COVID-19, St. Francis House Food Pantry has converted to a fast track pantry. Bronwen Nicholls, St. Francis House Food Pantry Director, and Jose Urrutia, Food Pantry Coordinator, took time to explain what this transition means to clients and staff.
