During the holidays, there are many ways to support and help people in-need.  You can give gifts from our wish lists, volunteer, or donate to Catholic Social Services – Alaska.  Below you’ll find the specifics about all three types of holiday giving.

Wish Lists

Giving gifts to meet the needs of our guests and clients is a great way to support those in-need this holiday season.  Below you’ll find information about what each program needs.

Volunteer

If you would like to sign up for any of the following, please contact Clara Williams at 907-222-7335 or cwilliams@cssalaska.org.

Wrap Gifts at Brother Francis Shelter

Grab your family and friends and join other volunteers and staff as they wrap holiday gifts for the guests on December 19 – 24 between 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Sew Reusable Napkins for St. Francis House Food Pantry

This holiday season the pantry is looking to give reusable holiday napkins to those coming through for food. Help us by donating your time and sewing skills to make this a reality!

Assemble Goodie-Bags for St. Francis House Food Pantry

Help pack bags filled with every day items, such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, dish soap, sponges, etc.  These items help people in need of food not be forced to decide between feeding their family and meeting other basic needs, such as hygiene and household cleanliness.  Shifts are on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
