Storytelling Form Thank you for sharing your story! Thank you for sharing with your community! Storytelling is an important part of what we do at Catholic Social Services – it's how we create connections in our community and break down barriers for our clients. The stories you have to share are powerful, you can help us share the lived experience of our clients with the public!Respecting our clients’ and guests’ wishes regarding media and privacy is our highest priority. Many clients (current and former) do not feel comfortable with photography, and others are glad to engage in photography and media. At CSS, we employ a framework of trauma informed care. This means our clients have full autonomy and we use a client centric model, focusing on their wishes and needs. We want storytelling opportunities to be seen as just that – opportunities for clients, and something they want to do. It’s important to provide them with an opportunity, while explaining its completely optional, and they can change their mind at any time. Their participation in any type of storytelling has no impact on their support and care from CSS. Storytelling can be a powerful tool for some people, and we want to provide that option if they wish. Our communications team strives to elevate the stories, perspectives, and opinions of those with lived experience, and this is one way they can do so.
