Adoptive FamilyCatholic Social Services is currently reevaluating the international Home Study/Post Placement program.

About International Adoption

Adoption requirements and laws vary widely by country, and adoptions in some nations are governed by the Hague Adoption Convention. Learn more about adopting internationally by reviewing the list of Hague accredited placement agencies and referring to U.S. State Department website regarding intercountry adoption.

Our Programs

As we reevaluate the international Home Study/Post Placement program at Catholic Social Services, please contact WACAP for Home Study and Post Placement Services. Please note that CSS does not take custody of the children being adopted nor do they act as the child placement agency through this program.

Additional Adoption Services

Our staff at Catholic Social Services can also assist you in other types of adoption as you seek to grow your family:

  • Infant Adoption, where we typically place children who are between newborn and two years old.
  • Special Needs Adoption, which involves adopting children who have been removed from their homes and are eligible for adoption (not children with developmental disabilities).
  • Adoption from Foster Care through Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, a program of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.

Learn about all of our adoption services and how we can also help after you welcome a child into your home. If you’d like to support our work, please consider making a financial contribution or donating much needed supplies.
