Thanksgiving Blessing


Catholic Social Services will be distributing food for Thanksgiving at St. Patrick's Parish on November 24th, 2014. This year, we are expecting 1,400 families. We will need a lot of help from community members.

**Updated November 12** we have a lot of sign-ups for volunteers, but we still need 7,000 cans of assorted vegetables and cranberry sauce. We would be very thankful If you can donate these items before the 24th.

Donating to Thanksgiving Blessing


Donations can be taken to St. Patrick's Parish located at 2111 Muldoon Road, up until time of distribution (November 24th).
Items we still need:
-Aluminum Roasting Pans
-Canned Corn
-Canned Green Beans
-Canned Peas
-Canned Sweet Potatoes or Yams
-Cranberry Sauce
-Gravy Mix
-Stuffing Mix

Volunteer Job Descriptions:

Registration: Help clients with the check in process, paperwork, and directions.   Parking Lot Attendant: Direct traffic and find open parking spaces, as well as help pedestrians and drivers navigate the parking lot safely (NO CHILDREN).
Crowd Control: Help clients navigate from check in building to the shopping area, and direct flow of people.  


Personal Shoppers: Volunteers will assist clients in shopping for their food.

Refuse Control: Keep shopping area clean and break down boxes/throw away trash as needed.

Please Note: Any children under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult. This is not a volunteer opportunity we would suggest for young children.
